Jungle Outpost #9 (story/pic)

The Lone Survivor

Jungle Outpost #9

He dove under the waters when the hail of arrows came flying towards the men in the river.  Being a highly-trained soldier, he was able to swim a considerable distance away from the fight.  He knew he had no weapon, but this did not mean he was unarmed.  First of all, he was highly trained in military tactics.  He surfaced briefly for air in the reeds, then made his way underwater further to near a rocky out-cropping on the side of the river.  From here, he was far enough away to watch the battle unfold.

Helplessly, he watched the two remaining soldiers on the beach get killed by the assailing enemy.  Quietly concealed, he watched, counted and assessed the situation.  In deed, it was a group of enemy assassins, but the group was much larger than he originally anticipated.  He watched as they made their way back into the jungle.  He was able to tell that they were following the back side of a ridge line to conceal their approach to the base.
He waited for the last one to leave, then determined to follow the main road back, as that would get him back to the base hours before the enemy.  His anger was boiling.  He could hardly wait to get himself armed and set up an ambush to kill as many of these bastards as possible.

After the last assassin was deep in the jungle, he stood up in the water.  Little did he know that a lone assassin sniper remained concealed in the rocks, quietly watching him as he was surveying the scene.  When he stood up, the assassin arose, aiming his crossbow at the soldier's broad, muscular chest.  The soldier's angry eyes glared at the enemy.  "Fuck You!!"  The words of defiance had barely escaped his mouth when the arrow pounded deep into the center of his chest.

The soldier heaved one last breath and his muscular body fell dead in the river......

Fighting Back

Jungle Outpost #8

Sergeant Daniel and Private Cody had been resting in jeep when the ambush began.  Lucky for them, they were closer to weapons than the others.  They commenced opening fire on any enemy that they could see.  The jeep offered great protection against enemy arrows.

Private Cody grabbed a weapon and just began firing wantonly into the forest and grasses.  Sergeant Daniel, having been seasoned in combat, was much more conservative with his ammunition.  The young private quickly went through his magazines.  Once he ran out, he panicked, looking for another weapon.

Not too far away, he spotted a the body of the corporal, lying about 20 yards away with a sword sticking out of his body.  Since the private had already killed the assassin that was standing near the corporal, he knew that area was mostly cleared of enemy.

"Cover me!!"  He yelled to Sergeant Daniel and ran towards the corporal's body.  The Sergeant, being low on ammo, wanted to stop him, but he had already made a dash before the he could respond.  A couple of arrows flew by him, but the Sergeant was quick to take out the attackers as quickly as they revealed their positions.

Private Cody dropped down by the corporal's body and pulled the sword from the young man's dead body.  He kept an eye out looking for the few remaining enemy soldiers.

"Oh, crap,  I'm almost out."  The sergeant said, tossing his rifle down and pulling his side arm from its holster.

One assassin jumped out of the grasses near Private Cody, but Sergeant Daniel was able to hop out of the jeep and shoot him.  Cody immediately saw the injured assassin just feet from him and rose up.  He swung the sword and with a single swing, deprived the would-be assassin of his head.

The young private let out a loud battle cry, over-thrilled with his first kill.  As he bellowed out his echoing voice, a second assassin quickly rose in front of the private.  Sergeant Daniel saw the enemy arise from the grasses, but the young private was in the way of his shot.

The assassin  rammed his spear into the young private's pale, bare gut, piercing him just above the navel.  The young man's face grimaced from the pain of the sharp spear tip deep in his gut.  He let out a deafening yell as the assassin ripped the spear from his gut, causing him to take a couple steps forward and fall to his knees.

Private Cody heard a shot ring out and the assassin fell dead in front of him, but it was too late for the young private.  He knelt there, holding his gut and breathing heavily until he was unable to breath no more and fell limp on the sands of the beach.

Sergeant Daniels had watched in horror as the young private fell dead.  He had stepped out into the open to try to save the young man, but, before he could get back to the cover of the jeep, two arrows rammed straight into his upper abs.  The Sergeant stumbled back from the blow of the arrows.

He sent out a couple more rounds from his sidearm, killing one of his assailants, but a third arrow ran fiercely into his navel.  The muscular sergeant tried to keep his balance, but fell down to his knees.  He could feel a sickening sensation in his stomach from the  arrows sticking out of his gut.  He quickly changed the clip in his gun.  He was breathing slow and heavy, trying to ease the pain in his abs and keep himself calm.

Another enemy arose with a crossbow, but the sergeant was quick to put a bullet in the assassin's head before he could fire.   A fourth arrow came from another location, nailing the sergeant in the left side of his chest.  The blow from the arrow knocked the wind out of him.

He tried desperately to regain his breath while firing randomly in the direction from which the arrow came.  After several shots, his sidearm began clicking.  Completely out of ammo.  He lowered his gun and waited for the final arrow, which came all to quickly, nailing him in the center of the chest, knocking the wind out of him again.  Except this time, he couldn't take another breath.

He knelt there for about thirty seconds, staring into the grasses while his attackers slowly approached.  Finally, he could hold himself up no more and his muscular body collapsed.

Jungle Outpost #7 (story/pics)

Riverside Massacre

Jungle Outpost #7

The soldiers in the water began shouting and racing towards the shore when they saw their Lieutenant fall dead on the shoreline.  Their hearts raced as the adrenaline pumped through their bodies.  They knew they had to get to shore quickly.  Brady, the young private closest to the shore thought he had the best chance of getting to their weapons, but a single arrow rammed into his chest with a loud thud.  He looked down and watched the arrow shake with the last few beats of his heart before he fell backwards dead in the water.

Grayson was the next closest.  Fear and horror pounded his mind as he saw Brady killed instantly before him.  "NOooooooo!!!!" Frightened, he let out a yell and tried moving more quickly towards the shore, but the water slowed him down.  He was about hip-deep in the water, when an arrow struck him in the gut.  He could feel the barbed tip penetrate deeply in his navel.  "WUAAaaaggghhh!"  He bellowed out a scream of pain, coupled with fear.

He leaned over, quivering at the sharp pain in his gut.  He was almost sobbing from the fear of dying so young.   Meanwhile Sgt. Clark, one of the other soldiers in the water, dove under not to be seen again.

The last two remaining soldiers got to the point when they could nearly run ashore, when they were simultaneously hit with arrows, knocking them back off their feet into the water.  Marshall's chest made a loud 'thump' when the arrow drove into his heart and Robey let out a gaspy "huaaghh' when the arrow nailed him in the gut.  both fell back in the water.  Marshall was dead before the splash.  Robey fell back and choked on the riverwater before succombing to his wound.

Grayson looked up and watched them fall before blood began trickling from his lips and he fell forward, face-first in the water.  The only remaining soldiers were the Sgt who disappeared and the two in the vehicle.

The Lieutenant

Jungle Outpost #6

Lieutenant Jones was probably one of the more serious soldiers at the riverside that day.  While he left his weapon by the vehicle, he stayed awake and alert, keeping a watchful eye on the soldiers swimming in the river.  He had been expecting Martin and Broderick to do their jobs and paid little attention in their direction.  Little did he know that they both had already been taken out.

They had been down at the river swimming for awhile.  He called to his men that were out in the waters.  They continued playing and splashing, ignoring the officer.  "HEY!,"  he shouted,  "Let's go!"  His voice was firm and demanding.  His free-spirited soldiers were really testing his patience.

The lieutenant was not fond of his unit at all, only a few were worth a damn as soldiers.  'These bastards can't follow orders worth a damn.'  he thought to himself.  'They'd get us all killed in a battle."

He turned towards where Broderick and Martin had been.  "Come on, guys,  you too!"  He saw some movement in the reeds and out stepped three enemy assassins armed with crossbows.  All three of them shot at the same time.

The lieutenant's well-formed abs were the perfect target.  When he saw the arrows flying towards his gut, be instinctively flexed his abs, trying to absorb the blow.  The arrows drove deep into his abs.  The soldier grunted as the arrows pierced deep into his gut.  He flexed his abs even harder as the pain rippled through his body.

He turned to run back towards the vehicle, but a fourth arrow nailed him at full force in the center of his broad shoulders.  The tip rammed straight through his heart with the tip protruding out of his chest.  His muscled mass fell in a wasted heap on the beach.
