He thought he could just leave. The boys had taken over the prison camp and imprisoned the guards. Since they were in the middle of nowhere, they knew it would be a long time before their take-over was discovered.
Trenton became fearful of what the other guys were turning into. He decided he needed to sneak away and escape. Robert, one of the ringleaders of the group was not about to allow that to happen. If Trenton got out, so would word that something was amiss at the camp. He tried to dissuade Trenton, but sometimes young men can be pretty obstinate in their decisions.
Trenton decided to try to make a break for it. Robert grabbed his arm and rammed his sword through the center of Trenton's back.
Trenton let out a scream as the blade pierced through his heart and out of his chest. His body quaked as he slunched down to the ground.
Robert maintained a tight grip on both his sword and the other guy, following him down to the ground. Trenton let struggled very little. Robert ripped the sword back out and let go of his former ally.
Trenton gasped twice for air before falling over onto his side.
